ROSTER MOVEMENTS GUIDE UPDATE

The roster movements are completed for all professional leagues along with CHL players now turning pro being moved over. Also find the list of AHL (and a few NHL mixed in on the AHL team) players that need to be created below. I will also be creating a list of NHL/AHL players who have chosen to play overseas or to return to juniors with which team they're playing for now during the lockout. I am not moving any players to their "new" Euro team from the NHL or AHL teams in any downloadable update that I will be doing.

You could also transfer Vincent Richer from Blainville-Boisbriand to Sherbrooke.

I did all the transfers for all the leagues, but the biggest problem that I can't finish it's to fulfill the Saint John roster cause they are losing about 9 players.. wish I could finish it and play hehe

Funky Cat - I haven't finished going through the CHL or Euro teams yet. That was just a basic start to try and get the AHLers out of the CHL.

Cossin - The reason you see players sent to "Free Agents" in the QMJHL roster already is those are the players I "filled in" Saint John with momentarily since they're no longer in the QMJHL.

I simply decided to send the 21 years old to them to filled them hehe :)

Ya mental lapse on my part - was looking at my NHL 12 movements guide and forgot to change them. Thanks for the heads up - I updated the guide.

Sweet keep up the good work you are a great help as always

Great work so far, always appreciate the time and effort you put into this year after year. One correction I found so far is that G Adam Morrison should be on Adirondack (Flyers property), not Providence.

PetrPuck said...

Adam,

Actually Morrison went unsigned by Philadelphia and was thus declared a free agent prior to the 2011 NHL Draft. Boston signed him to a 3 year entry level contract this past March.

He will most likely back up Hutchinson in Providence as Khudobin is expected to back up Rask in Boston.

My mistake. I was going by the Flyers' official website, which for some reason still lists him as being "in the system" for them.

Thanks for clearing it up!

According to The Hockey News, these players are UFA's.

Tom Kostopoulos - CGY
Andrew Brunette - CHI
Matt Bradley - FLA
Matt Gilroy - OTT
Jesse Winchester - OTT
Kent Huskins - STL
Jay Rosehill - TOR

For the life of me I can't find Kevin Porter to put him on the Americans. I have checked the Sabres, Americans, Free Agents, Lake Erie and Colorado. Does anyone know where he is?

PetrPuck said...

He's on the FA list.

Are you gonna wait to see if the lockout might get lifted or are you just gonna update all of the rosters regularly like you would before?

PetrPuck said...

The lockout will give me more time to concentrate on the CAPs and not have to worry about as many guys changing teams. I will continue to update as usual.

Efbomb said...

Found a couple more you missed.

NHL:

Scott Hannan - CGY, is now on Nashville.

AHL:

Nick Peterson - WBS, he was released by Pittsburgh.

FA:

Stephen Valiquette has retired.

Just want to say thanks for making all us roster freaks lives a little easier. Keep up the good work.

Where oh where is Ivan Majesky? I can't seem to find him on the default roster.

PetrPuck said...

Efbomb - Thank you for the heads up
Paul - Linkoping in the default roster

I'm still not seeing him (Majesky) anywhere. I've deleted all my game saves and started fresh. Is it possible that since I've downloaded EA's update he's no removed from the game?

PetrPuck said...

Oh ya, EA deletes guys all the time. I have about 40-50 guys on a list right now that played for teams fully last year that are in the game, but have been removed from this years game for whatever reason

Two more player movements that needs to be added...Marek Hrivik on Moncton (QMJHL) should be moved to the Connecticut Whale (AHL). Also, the Whale re-signed Kelsey Tessier to an AHL deal, so if anyone released him to free agency like I did he needs to be put back on the Whale's roster (Choose free agency as affiliation).

I'm in the same boat on Ivan Majesky: I've reset rosters to both pre- and post-draft, cleared the patch and all save files off my 360, and I still can't find him.

PetrPuck said...

It was my error in him being in the Movements Guide. When I copied the 12 movements that I did to set up my 13 guide, he was in there and I missed removing him. I thought I had moved him but was able to check and he is indeed not in 13. My bad.

PetrPuck said...

Tempest - he is listed as going to Detroit in the FA list as I had already dropped him from St. Louis in the Guide. In years past if someone changed leagues multiple times, I removed their original move, but this year I'm going to try keeping them and changing the team they go to in hopes of helping people not miss the moves.

PetrPuck said...

Travis - all the CHLers suck. As do 95% of the Euro guys. EA drastically reduced all non-NHL players. Even some AHL players are low 60s or 50s overall!

So youll be doing lots of edits?

Efbomb said...

Heads up everyone.

Last year there was a problem with editing rookies. Unfortunately, EA decided that it wasn't too big of a problem, because it was not fixed.

For some reason, whenever you edit any player that's listed as a rookie in Team Rosters, he magically looses his rookie status, and changing his draft year won't work because we're not allowed to that anymore.

So beware, and make any changes you like to the veteran players, and edit your rookies last.
