Don't know if you know this but there is no way to go with undrafted and have it stick. Once you change the birthday year, the draft year changes, even if locked. If you lock the birthday year, your random year selection goes no earlier than the earliest year the player could be drafted. With Fedun I guess it's 2006. You may just want to put the draft year of the player.

Ya unfortunately it's always been this way. I put N/A so people can just choose whichever year they want. I usually put it as the year they turned pro.
